Travel Fair 15-18 January 2026

The travel fair in Helsinki had a section of military history sites in Eastern Finland for the first time. The main responsibility for the section was borne by Ilomantsi, Mikkeli and Kuhmo. In addition, Via Karelia, Suomussalmi, Lieksa, Rautjärvi and Miehikkälä are partners. The section used the Liberation Route Europe logo, because all Finnish members of the network were involved. Our section also had “Erkki Raappana”.

The total number of visitors to the fair was a staggering 56,400. The interest in military history sites was excellent, which indicates something about the present and also about us Finns.
