An expert guide at your service

Embark on an interesting and timely journey of military history to the sites of Northern Finland with an expert. Sites in Finland include, for example, Kuhmo, Suomussalmi, or the battle sites of Lapland War. During the journey we dive into the history of the Finnish wars of 1939-45. On the journey you will see historical sites, experience historical stories and get familiar with the Finnish “sisu”. 

Acting as your guide, Lassi Piirainen is an expert in Finnish military history, who vividly explains military history from different perspectives and looks at things according to different themes.

The battlefields are explored on all-day bus tours, during which typically 5–8 different destinations are visited. In them, you get to know memorials and original and restored battle sites. In most places, it is also possible to visit museums. Some of the battle sites of the winter war are located near the Russian border. Most of the destinations are near roads, so the walking distances are not long and the routes are generally easy paths.
